How do session credits work, and where can I see my client’s credits?
A session credit is one prepaid session your client can book with you. When a client buys or is gifted sessions, LCH Core gives them credits and takes one away each time a session is booked, so you never have to keep a tally yourself.
Each credit belongs to a specific session type. If your client bought a package with three “Deep Dive” sessions, they have three credits for that session type.
How clients get credits
Your client gets credits automatically when they:
- Buy a single session from your store (one credit).
- Buy a coaching package (one credit for every session in it).
- Receive a gift from you. Gifted sessions and packages give credits just like a purchase. See Can I gift an offer?
How credits get used
- When your client books from their portal, one credit is used the moment the session is booked.
- When you book for them, you’ll see how many sessions they have left when you pick the session type, and one credit is used when you save.
- Recurring sessions: credits cover the first sessions in the series. If the series runs past their credits, you’ll choose how the rest are paid.
- Oldest first: if your client has credits from more than one purchase, the oldest is used first.
What happens if a session is cancelled
If a prepaid session is cancelled (by you or your client) before it starts, the credit goes back to your client so they can rebook.
Where to see a client’s credits
- In the left menu, click Contacts, then Clients.
- Click your client to open their folder.
- Click Purchases, then the Session credits tab.
You’ll see a card for each session type with how many are remaining and used. Click Click to view purchases to see where each credit came from and which sessions used them.
When your client runs out
You can still book them. You’ll just choose how they pay for that session. Your options are in What if my client has no more prepaid sessions?
Credits don’t expire, so your client can use them whenever they’re ready.
