How do I create a sliding-scale or discounted offer?
There are two quick ways to offer a reduced or customized price in LCH Core, without changing your public pricing.
Option 1: Duplicate the package and make it Unlisted
Best when you want a clean, dedicated price just for this client (or a small group), with normal checkout and tracking.
Steps
- Go to Coach Dashboard โ Offers โ Pick the offer type you want to discount
- Find the package/offer โ Click Duplicate in the Action menu
- Open the duplicate and:
- Rename clearly (e.g., โFoundations โ Sliding Scale for [Client]โ).
- Set Price to the agreed amount.
- Set Visibility = Unlisted (so itโs not shown publicly).
- Save & Publish.
- Send the direct link for that unlisted package to your client. You can get this from the Action items in the table (click Copy URL)
Pros
- Clean receipts and session tracking at the agreed price.
- Works for one-off or ongoing arrangements.
- No codes to enter; fewer checkout errors.
Notes
- Keep unlisted offers organized (e.g., tag or prefix names) so you can archive them later.
- If you need a time-limited arrangement, add an End date or unpublish after purchase.
Client message you can paste
โHi [Name]! Hereโs your sliding-scale checkout link for [Package Name]: [unlisted link]. This link is private to you. Once you complete checkout, your sessions will appear in your portal.โ
Option 2: Create a coupon and send it to them
Best when you want the client to buy a regular public package but at a discounted price using a code.
Steps
- Go to Coach Dashboard โ Offers โ Coupons
- Create Coupon:
- Code (e.g., RHONDA30).
- Discount (percentage or fixed amount) so the final price matches your sliding scale.
- Applies to: select the specific package(s).
- Expiry date
- Save and send the code with a link to your Public Store (or the offer page).
Pros
- Fast; no duplicate products to manage.
- Great for temporary or trial pricing.
- Lets you keep standard pricing visible while honoring a private discount.
Notes
- Double-check the math so the discounted total equals your intended sliding-scale price.
- Use per-client codes for cleaner reporting and to avoid sharing.
Client message you can paste
โHi [Name]! Use coupon [CODE] at checkout for [Package Name] here: [store/package link]. The code reduces the price to [final price] and expires [date]. Let me know if you need help.โ
Which should I choose?
- Unlisted duplicate: best for a bespoke price that should appear as the final price on the receipt and invoices (no code entry).
- Coupon: best for short-term discounts, trials, or when you want the client to pick from your standard public packages.
Good housekeeping
- Document the agreed rate in your Session Notes and (if needed) in your agreement/welcome package.
- Set a review date (e.g., 3 months) to revisit the sliding scale.
- When the arrangement ends, unpublish the unlisted offer or disable the coupon.
