Meeting the Old Fashioned Way

There was a time when people use to walk up to each other and properly introduce themselves to each other.

Those were the fun times, when you took interest in someone and did everything that you could to make them feel comfortable, smile, take them out to eat, and just talk about your likes and dislikes.

Well, I’m sorry to say that those times have changed a lot with the newer generation, and it’s sad to say that some of the older generation falls into that category as well. You will never get to know a person through texting them.

Here are some tips to meet people the “OLD FASHIONEDway.

  1. Always make sure that your hair and appearance are clean. (Your first impression is everything).
  2. Make sure that you and your breath both smell nice. (Do a check it before you step out.)
  3. If you are picking someone up, make sure your transportation is clean and smells nice as well. (If you’re a man, bring flowers or something that she has mentioned that she likes. It will show that you were paying attention while she was talking. This will blow her mind!)
  4. If you are going out and your intentions are to meet someone, then make sure that you develop strong eye contact and look for the signs of smiling, before you decide to approach him or her.
  5. The approach for a woman should be something such as complementing her eyes, what she’s wearing or her hair. Ask her if someone is sitting next to her, and if they’re not, then ask if it’s ok to sit next to her, and buy her something to drink if she’s running low (if you’re at a bar or restaurant). Strike up a conversation.
  6. If it’s a man that’s being approached by a woman then apply the same rules in #5. Men will be be surprised when a woman buys them a drink or pay for his dinner. That’s something that they are not used to, being accustomed to paying. It also shows that you make and have your own money.
  7. For women: Tone down the make up, fake hair, fake eyelashes, and over-texting. For men: watch out for too much cologne, bad breath, bad conversation skills, being picky or demanding, and over-texting.
  8. It’s all about everyone enjoying each other’s company, and seeing if it goes well enough to go on another date.
