About Me

I was born in Africa, and my beginnings were a bit wild - an experience that deeply shaped who I am today. My parents were missionaries and development workers, so helping people and journeying with them was part of the ethos I was born into and saw lived out every day.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve been committed to my own journey of healing and transformation. I knew what it was like to avoid, push away, numb, and fight the things inside me that I didn’t want to feel. It didn’t work very well for me. I’ve learned what happens when we stop running from those things and begin to turn toward them with curiosity and compassion.

That journey has changed me. I’m living with more freedom and joy, and with a deeper, more grounded sense of who I am. I want that kind of transformation for you.

There’s trauma in my story, and triggers still come. Life still hurts sometimes. I don’t coach from the other side of pain - I coach from within the ongoing journey of healing. I keep growing, healing, and becoming a better human, one step at a time.

I live in Colorado with my wife and three kids. We love being outdoors, sharing good food, playing games, and enjoying this good season of life. When I’m not coaching, you’ll probably find me reading, trail running or hiking with our Vizsla, cooking, baking bread, or cheering on my kids.

Results & Goals

The goal isn't to become someone different. It's to become more fully yourself.

The journey of healing can feel a little like tracking. You may not know exactly where the trail will lead, but the things you're experiencing can become clues that point the way.

As you learn to turn toward what you've spent years avoiding, pushing away, or judging, you may begin to experience:

A grounded identity — a deeper sense of who you are and what matters to you.

Self-trust — greater confidence in your own wisdom, feelings, body, and ability to make decisions.

Emotional freedom — less energy spent suppressing, avoiding, numbing, or fighting what you feel.

Greater self-compassion — learning to meet the parts of yourself you've judged with curiosity rather than shame.

More freedom and joy — less living from old survival patterns and more ability to engage fully with the life you have.

Deeper connection — with yourself and with the people who matter most to you.

You don't have to know exactly where you're going. You can learn to recognize the tracks, follow the clues, and trust the trail.

How I like to coach

I believe our patterns make sense. The things we struggle with today often have roots in what we've experienced, what we've learned, and the ways we've adapted to life. What looks like a problem on the surface can become the path we follow, leading us to something deeper.

I think of this process a little like tracking. We don't always know where we're going, but we can learn how to follow the trail.

A recurring emotion, a bodily sensation, a behavior we can't seem to change, a reaction that feels bigger than the situation - these can become tracks and clues. Together, we can follow them with curiosity, noticing the connections between the way life is now and the experiences that helped shape it.

I’m gifted at making connections that can be difficult to see. Sometimes an insight creates a moment when something suddenly clicks—the fog lifts, the body relaxes, and what once felt confusing begins to make sense. You see something about yourself that you couldn't see before, and that new understanding can open the door to compassion and change.

Those moments matter. When we understand why we've developed the ways we have, we can begin to meet ourselves with compassion instead of judgment. We can stop fighting the parts of ourselves we've pushed away and begin turning toward them.

I don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all path to healing. You are unique, and your story is your own. My role isn't to tell you who you are or give you all the answers. It's to help you discover the wisdom already within you—to listen to your heart, your body, your emotions, and your own experience.

I'll ask questions, reflect what I'm hearing, make connections, and challenge you when I think it might help. Ultimately, you are the one walking the trail, and I get the privilege of walking alongside you for part of your journey.

My hope is that you leave coaching more grounded in yourself - more able to trust your own heart, your body, your wisdom, and your capacity to move forward.

You may not know exactly where you're going. But you can learn to recognize the tracks, follow the clues, and trust the trail.
