What is Relationship Coaching?

Become the best couple possible.

Relationship coaching helps you find greater fulfillment in your personal relationships. A relationship coach will help you set relationship goals, understand your partner, build a thriving marriage, or take your long-term relationship to the next level. With a relationship coach you will be able to enjoy a very satisfying relationship even if your partner doesn’t participate in the coaching process.

Relationship coaches also help you even if you are not in a relationship yet. If you’re single and have a history of bad relationships, or you have a hard time knowing what you want in a relationship, a coach can help. Or you just want to stay on track with your plan to find a deep connection with someone.

A relationship coach will take your relationships and make them high performing. They will help you quickly discover what you need from your partner and relationship, guide you through painful issues, and create a safe place for you to face your fears and find all your true desires.

Is relationship coaching the same as marriage counseling or couples therapy?

Relationship coaching is not couples therapy or marriage counseling, just like life coaching isn’t psychotherapy. A coach is more like your personal trainer: they are there to help you thrive and push you to the next level.

If you are having issues in your relationship, a coach can help you find perspective, gain clarity, and set inspiring new goals. A relationship coach may refer you to a therapist if there are any debilitating mental illnesses or past traumas that need to be dealt with. Unlike in therapy, a relationship coach isn’t going to delve into your childhood; they are going to help you find peace where you are right now.

Can a relationship coach save my marriage?

Relationship coaching may help you untangle some love knots, but that does not always mean it “saves” marriages. Coaching will help you to clarify your relationship issues, separating what you can control and what you cannot control. It will bring awareness into all the hidden corners of avoidance, fear and resentment.

Even if you’re the only one who is participating in the coaching, you will see that when you let go of your mental suffering, the burden on your marriage will be lightened.

How do I choose a relationship coach?

Contrary to what you may think, location is not an issue when you are looking for a coach. Most relationship coaches work via the phone, Skype or email.  This is great as it gives you and the coach a lot more flexibility. Another great advantage for you is that this gives you many more coaches to choose from so that you can find the right relationship coach for you. Since location is not an issue, you can choose any coach you want without being limited to the ones in your area.

Many coaches offer a free introductory session so that you can see if they are a good fit for you. When you are looking for a relationship coach, you want to find one that will relate best to you and your needs, someone you enjoy speaking with, and someone who has the training and experience for your relationship issues.
