The Top Ten Regrets of the Dying (And How We Can Learn From Them)

Ten things that you may regret not doing

Here are ten things dying people say they regret most. Learn from them and don’t do them yourself!

  1. Travelling while you had the chance… Be adventurous! This doesn’t just mean down south all inclusive!
  2. Wearing sunscreen. When you’re older, it won’t matter to anyone how tanned you were when you were younger. Avoid skin cancer and skin aging.
  3. Being physically active. The gym is not the only option. Be active today, stay active tomorrow.
  4. Getting out of a bad relationship. Wouldn’t it be nicer to be in a loving one? Stop wasting time!
  5. Saying “I love you”. Not only will you feel good, but so will the person you’re saying it to… Don’t worry about hearing it back.
  6. Quitting a terrible job. You’ve heard this one before, yet you’re still there! What are you doing? Stop living in fear and stress and walk out the door! 
  7. Being adventurous. Fear can paralyze us! Try a new wine, listen to new music today, go cliff diving, hell…. try to see how far you can make it on a skate board! Don’t worry about failing, worry about experiencing! 
  8. Letting go of grudges. Holding a grudge isn’t proving anything to anyone, all you’re doing is harming yourself.
  9. Standing up for yourself. Stop letting people walk all over you!
  10. Leaving the phone at home. Stop texting, snapping selfies, checking Facebook 10 times a day, and start being there. 

Bonus:

Stop working too much! If you’re working more hours than most to pay for things you don’t have the time to enjoy… Stop!

There is nothing more sad than watching someone work their life away to afford nice things that they spend no time with. The happiest people work less and do more.

On another note… Start working for yourself, stop spending your valuable time working hard to make someone else rich. Think about it… How crazy does that sound!
