About Me

I’m a pastor, husband, and father who has spent years walking alongside men trying to faithfully carry the responsibilities of ordinary life.

I work especially with Christian husbands and fathers who care deeply about their families, faith, work, health, and responsibilities—but often feel as though all of those things need attention at the same time.

Much of my pastoral ministry has involved conversations with men who already know many of the things that matter. They don’t necessarily need someone to tell them to love their wife, enjoy their children, work hard, read Scripture, handle money responsibly, or take care of their health. They need help translating those convictions into practices they can actually sustain.

I’ve seen relatively small changes make meaningful differences: a father learning to leave work behind before walking through the door so he can enjoy his children; a man developing a simple morning routine that gets him to work on time and starts his day with purpose; a husband learning to stop attacking six areas of life at once and instead make steady progress in one priority at a time.

Those experiences shaped Faithful Ground and The Next Faithful Step.

My academic background includes a B.A. in Religion, Anthropology, and Philosophy and a Master of Divinity in Missiology. More importantly for our work together, my approach is shaped by years of Christian ministry, discipleship, teaching, and helping ordinary men think honestly about responsibility, discipline, faith, family, and growth.

I believe meaningful change is usually less dramatic than we imagine. You probably don’t need your entire life rebuilt. You may need to get clear about what faithfulness looks like now, take the next step, and then take another.

Coaching with me

Results & Goals

My goal is not to help you create a perfect life in twelve weeks; it is to help you become more intentional and increasingly faithful in the life you already have.

Depending on your starting point and priorities, our work together may help you:

Gain clarity about what matters most right now.

Separate real responsibilities from the feeling that everything needs to be fixed simultaneously.

Turn conviction into action.

Move from “I know I should” to concrete practices that fit your actual work, family, and responsibilities.

Build sustainable habits and routines.

Establish small baseline disciplines and gradually strengthen them as consistency develops.

Become more consistent without demanding perfection.

Learn to evaluate failure honestly, make adjustments, and continue forward instead of repeatedly starting over.

Protect important priorities when life gets busy.

Learn to adjust the practice before automatically abandoning what you previously decided matters.

Grow in accountability and personal responsibility.

Get honest about what you did, what you didn’t do, why, and what needs to happen next.

Develop a repeatable process for future growth.

My goal is not for you to depend permanently upon a coach. By the end of our work together, I want you increasingly able to identify an area that needs attention, establish a meaningful aim, choose the next faithful step, evaluate your progress, and adjust on your own.

For Christian clients, all of this is grounded in a larger conviction: our standing before God rests in Christ, while His grace calls us to continue growing in faithfulness.

How I like to coach

I like coaching to be honest, practical, encouraging, and specific.

I am not interested in giving you a motivational speech once a week or handing you a perfect system and expecting you to fit your life into it.

I will ask questions. I will listen carefully. I will help you clarify what you actually want to see change and why it matters. And when necessary, I will challenge you to tell the truth about whether you followed through on what you said was important.

We normally work with one meaningful priority at a time.

We begin by looking honestly at the previous 30 days—not your entire history—and asking where you would most like the coming 30 days to look different.

From there, we establish a clear aim and translate it into a few concrete practices. Then you go live your real life.

When we meet again, we look at what actually happened.

What worked?

What didn’t?

Was the plan unrealistic?

Did circumstances genuinely change?

Did something more important require your attention?

Did you avoid something difficult?

Or did you simply choose not to do what you intended?

We learn from the answer and adjust.

One principle you will hear often is:

Adjust the practice before abandoning the priority.

Life will interrupt you. The goal is not to pretend otherwise. The goal is to learn how to keep moving toward what matters even when the week does not go according to plan.

We also establish a few simple baseline disciplines based on your current starting point. These are intentionally achievable at first. As consistency develops, the challenge grows with you.

My style is supportive without being passive. I am comfortable encouraging you when progress feels small, but I am also comfortable asking hard questions when excuses begin replacing responsibility.

For Christian men, Scripture is not an occasional add-on to the process. Biblical convictions help us determine why our responsibilities matter, what faithfulness means, and how grace and effort belong together.

Ultimately, success means you become less dependent on me—not more. I want you to leave coaching with a process you know how to use for yourself.
