About Me

Navigating life's transitions can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face them alone. As a seasoned life transition and wellness coach with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, I specialize in guiding individuals through the complexities of unwelcome change—be it the grief of loss, the fresh starts ushered in by divorce, or the adjustments in work and family roles that come with getting older. My commitment is to provide a secure and empathetic space where you can honor your feelings and discover new avenues for moving forward.

With over two decades of experience, I've had the privilege of accompanying many on their journey through challenging times, helping them find clarity and renewed purpose. If you're feeling overwhelmed by a recent change and are seeking a path forward, I invite you to connect with me. Let's begin with a complimentary 15-minute consultation to lay the first stone on your path to a new you.

How I like to coach

As a life transition and wellness coach, my primary aim is to make clients feel comfortable and create a safe space to explore difficult thoughts and feelings. In the first couple of sessions, I focus on getting to know a client, fully understanding their problems and crafting goals that are on target and personally meaningful to them. Drawing on my background as a clinical psychologist, I rely on several approaches to help clients achieve their goals, including cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, and constructivist modalities.

Professional and life experience

I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years and received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2008. As a mental health professional, I have shepherded numerous individuals through difficult life transitions and have published over 80 academic articles and chapters on the topic, which have been cited by thousands in the field.

Beyond these professional experiences, I am also a human being who is just as vulnerable to unwelcome change as you are. I know the pain of having relationships shattered and work roles disrupted. But despite the pain, I've also grown tremendously from these experiences and find great meaning in working with others in the midst of difficult life transitions.
