Results & Goals

Overall Career Successes

Throughout my career, I have dedicated more than 25 years to empowering individuals, strengthening families, and serving diverse communities. My professional journey has included life coaching, domestic violence intervention, anger management, family advocacy, crisis response, case management, community engagement, and public service.

One of my greatest career successes has been my ability to support people throughout both the healing and accountability processes. I have assisted survivors of domestic violence through crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, and access to essential resources. I have also facilitated court-mandated anger management, batterers intervention, parent neglect, and child abuse intervention groups. In these roles, I have helped participants develop emotional regulation, conflict-resolution, stress-management, and healthy communication skills.

As a bilingual professional fluent in Spanish and English, I have successfully built trust with individuals and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My work has allowed me to make services more accessible, provide culturally responsive support, and help clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

During my years with the City of Oakland and several community-based organizations, I developed and coordinated initiatives that connected residents with resources, improved community engagement, promoted public safety, and strengthened partnerships among families, service providers, legal professionals, government agencies, and community organizations. I have also delivered workshops, educational presentations, and group sessions focused on personal growth, accountability, safety, and behavioral change.

My academic and professional development represents another important career achievement. I earned a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Criminal Justice. I have completed specialized training in life coaching, anger management, domestic violence counseling, batterers intervention, crisis intervention, cognitive behavioral approaches, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness.

Above all, I consider every person who has gained confidence, strengthened their coping skills, improved their relationships, or taken a meaningful step toward healing and accountability to be part of my professional success. My career has reinforced my belief that compassionate guidance, practical tools, cultural understanding, and personal accountability can help people create lasting change.

How I like to coach

My coaching style is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on empowerment. I create a confidential, respectful, culturally responsive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, recognizing patterns, and identifying the changes they want to make. I meet each person where they are and honor their individual strengths, values, cultural background, and personal journey.

Using a Compassion, Resilience, Personal Growth and strengths-based approach, I incorporate practical strategies drawn from cognitive behavioral principles, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence. I help clients establish realistic goals, develop healthier coping and communication skills, and take manageable steps toward lasting change. My role is to listen, encourage, provide honest feedback, and balance compassion with accountability so that clients can move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.
