About Me
My intentions for each of my clients are to help them increase their independence, empower their self-efficacy and voice, and build a vast and diverse toolbox of strategies to tap into for any specific situation or moment that may arise.
The neurodivergent profile is unique and multi-layered, requiring a specialized approach that is informed and experienced in supporting both their high intellect and performance potential alongside the prevalent executive dysfunction and motivation obstacles.
It is common among this neurotype to experience elevated levels:
- Perfectionism
- Cognitive rigidity due to black/white thinking
- Avoidance of vulnerability
- Intensive task initiation struggles
- Pervasive Drive for Autonomy
- Correlated pattern of holistic and autoimmune health issues
Alongside these difficulties, neurodivergent folk often lean on their gifted intellect and self-awareness to compensate for these challenges and maintain an externally successful lifestyle.
It is in this dichotomous mixture of traits that I have honed my training, methodology, and approach - all from the additional space of shared experience as a gifted neurodivergent myself.
In my practice, I honor, educate, and advocate for the neurodivergent experience. My virtual office is a neurodivergent-affirming space that offers consistency, stability, safety, and freedom to explore identity, mental health, academics, career, entrepreneurship, athletic performance, relationships, interpersonal communication, and other topics from a space of deep understanding.
Coaching with me
How I like to coach
Simply put, I value the human brain. I believe that intervention for anyone, but especially neurodivergent folks, begins in two over-arching categories that connect with every other aspect of life and performance:
- Bringing awareness to one's neurotype
- Work on balancing and regulating the nervous system
I value knowledge, autonomy, consistency, stability, and connectivity, and I seek to bring each of these characteristics into every session and overall relationship with my clients.
The brain cannot grow, learn, or perform at its highest potential while in a state of trauma, and being neurodivergent-affirming in my approach to healing trauma is a cornerstone of my approach.
It is often when seeking help that neurodivergent folks become most disheartened, and I strive to change that narrative every day. I understand the difficulty behind neurodivergent motivation, productivity, relationships, and academic or career success in a world not designed for us, and I position myself as a coach to help design our own unique path forward in each of these areas.
As a coach, I am abundantly accessible to my clients even outside of sessions and hone my relationship building to what they most need - gentle or firm, intuitive or explicit. I am a firm believer in laughter as therapy and work hard to ensure sessions are an enjoyable and connective experience that incorporate humor and deep engagement even in the most difficult of conversations.
