Lisa Brewer
Certified Grief & Loss Coach
Coaching areas I specialize in
About Me
My name is Lisa Brewer and I am a certified grief coach. I am also an ordained minister, non-denominational Christian and at the request of my clients, can certainly tailor our sessions with a more non secular approach. I also provide coaching support for those seeking motivation, relationship building, support through divorce/breakup, and so much more. I’m also fortunate enough to be able to provide the support you need at and affordable price. I believe everybody should have access to support and care because we are all deserving of being heard, validated and understood.
I am highly passionate about helping others. As a person with huge empathy and the ability to put myself in others' shoes, I am able to provide support on many levels. Grief is not something you simply get over. Do you ever get over someone you love and lost due to death? No, we don't, but we do find a way to move forward by creating a new normal. A new normal that doesn't allow for that person to be with you in physical form, but still allows you to keep them with you, just in a different way. Grief is unique to each individual and because it is, there are no time frames or expectations. Simply, one day at a time, trying to find your way. We do not only experience grief through the loss of a loved one, but we can experience grief from the loss of a relationship, career, home, beloved pet, etc. As an ordained minister, volunteer chaplain, former hospice bereavement coordinator/grief coach, and volunteer crisis support on Crisis Textline, I am truly committed to helping others work through some of the most difficult times of their life to help get them to other side of grief. We grieve deeply because we love deeply. When you really think about it, it truly is a beautiful thing. Grief reminds us of the very love we gave and received.

Results & Goals
When we think of loss of any kind and the grief that accompanies it, one can feel overwhelmed. It’s as if the grief itself has taken up residency in our own heart and mind. While that very well may be the case, there absolutely is a way to come to terms in creating a new normal. This new normal is not about forgetting or leaving our loved ons behind, it’s about being able to bring our loved one with us on our new journey in a different way. When we think of someone we love and have lost, the grief is compounding because we loved so deeply and still do. There is no closure to someone we love, but the goal is always to get to the other side of grief where we can come to appreciate what our grief truly represents. My goal is to help you get to that other side of the grief that you are enduring from a loss, raising up stronger and more confident, accepting where you are at and being OK with that.
No matter the loss you have endured or the grief you are dealing with, each journey is its own. Your relationships are unique to you. No one can possibly understand what you were feeling because they were not the ones in relationship with the person or thing they have lost. However, my goal is to provide support through this time in your life where it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Through this process, you will not only have the support that you need, but you will be provided tools and resources to help you through.
I am blessed to be able to offer support at amazing prices and I believe it is my calling to help those in need. Everyone deserves support, kindness and overall care. I look forward to meeting you, coming to understand your hopes and goals for this process and ultimately, helping you get to the other side of grief.
How I like to coach
I like to coach first and foremost by getting to know my clients and finding out what is most important to you and what you hope to gain from this experience. I truly listen to my clients because often times they do not know initially what to do or really what they hope to gain. This is very normal considering the fact that most of my clients come to me during one of the most difficult times in their life. My initial approach is letting my clients know that it is OK to be where you were at currently, this is not going to be all fixed tomorrow, there is work to be done, but with motivation and drive and an open mind, anything is possible. I have come to watch clients go from complete sadness to arriving at a place for which they never thought they could be in again. I like to apply exercises, resources and tools when applicable and ultimately be a safe space for you to be where you were at, free of judgment and feeling nothing but supported.
Offerings
Coaching
When it comes to emotional support and mental well being, your care should not cost a fortune. I offer very generous hourly and packaged rates so that those struggling and needing support, can get just that. I like my clients to feel as if they have been heard and sent off into the world with hope and purpose between sessions. I offer hourly sessions, 30-minute sessions, semi-private sessions, etc. Since zoom and Facetime sessions are much desired during the pandemic, I can support anyone from any state. I look forward to being in person once again, but until then, I offer remote sessions. I will continue to offer remote sessions even after I can resume in-person. For a lot of people, being in the comfort of their own home, not having to drive especially if they are consumed with a lot of emotion, has proven to be more convenient and welcoming. At the end of the day, my desire and job are to best support you. Whatever format works best for my clients I will gladly try to accommodate to the best of my ability. I offer flexible hours and payment options. I want to make it affordable for all levels of income because getting emotional support should never be out of reach.
