About Me
I love singing, dancing and music in general. I also enjoy reading, writing, cooking and traveling. I have published a book on linguistics, recorded a dance album and lived in the US, Argentina, Italy and Spain. I speak a little bit of Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Irish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Frisian, Japanese, Korean and Welsh. As you can see, languages are my obsession! I love learning about etymologies and genetics. I'm detail oriented, patient and a true optimist. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching both adults and children. I can help you prepare for exams as well as for job interviews and real life in general.

Me as a Coach
I started teaching in 1998 because I know how important mastering a skill can be: it can lead to a new life, a new country, a new a job, new friends and can even make the difference between being happy and fulfilled or just plain miserable. I believe coaching is about giving someone the tools, the confidence, the competencies, the motivation and the enthusiasm to learn so as to become the very best version of themselves. My Lessons & Teaching Style
My teaching style is based on having fun while learning, with highly engaging materials and topics used in both the Communicative and the Direct Approach. This way learners get a chance to develop and practice their skills in real-life situations. As my students come from diverse backgrounds, they have different levels of confidence and abilities. In order to motivate them to learn I make use of NLP by also drawing on other approaches, such as the Affective Humanistic Approach, which respects the emotional realm of my students as they tread their learning process. I always enable positive reinforcement as much as possible in order to lower their affective filter by applying the 80/20 rule (practice/teaching).
